I always like to "escape", so to speak, to tropical climates. I guess we all do. It seems a natural place to leave the pressures and stress of our everyday world behind. There is a certain beauty and calmness in the tropics that's hard to beat, which makes it a perfect place to photograph. I particularly love capturing the subtle complexities of the tropical rainforests in Bali; rays of light descending thru tall tress, a serene waterfall popping out of nowhere, and the beauty and of the expansive hillside rice fields.
